Representing another success in their bid to expand their market outside of the auction community and the exclusive payment processor for the ”Mom & Pop” internet business, PayPal recently announced that Northwest Airlines is now offering PayPal as a way to pay for tickets purchased on the airline’s website.

Stephanie Tilenius, Vice President of Merchant Services for PayPal said, “We are excited to add Northwest Airlines, one of the world’s largest airlines, as the first airline to accept PayPal.  Many of our customers already book travel with Northwest Airlines and are eager to use their PayPal accounts to do so.”

As an added incentive, the airline is offering members of their frequent flier program 500 bonus miles for purchasing tickets using a PayPal account.
